The Oxygeneo Super Facial is based on a phenomenon discovered by the Danish physicist Bohr, about a century ago. According to this phenomenon, when carbon dioxide increases on the surface of the skin, the tissues release oxygen internally, in order to balance the situation within the cells.
OxyGeneo's Oxypod headpieces consist of carbon dioxide, embedded in solid form in magnesium and citric acid. All you need to know for your Oxygeneo Treatment
Instructions before Oxygeneo
If possible, it would be good to come without make-up on your face, on the day of your treatment.
You should have stopped using exfoliating products, which may contain salicylic, glycolic or other acids, as well as retinol, two days before your appointment.
It would be good to avoid prolonged sun exposure or solarium for up to two days before your facial.
Instructions after Oxygeneo
It is absolutely necessary to wash your face from the very first day, after your Oxygeneo treatment, using a cleanser of your choice, having in mind that you should not rub your face vigorously, when washing it, for the first week after your facial. Avoid using loofah, scrubs or peels until your skin has fully recovered after your facial.
It would be ideal not to apply make-up to the face for the first 24 hours, after your Oxygeneo Facial. In case you must put on make-up, we advise you to avoid removing make-up with baby wipes and intense friction on your face. We recommend removing make-up gently, using a mild liquid facial cleanser.
Continuous hydration of the area is necessary after facials, for faster and better healing of the skin. We recommend the use of a special non-greasy repairing cream and hyaluronic serum for the first 5-7 days after your facial and you should apply them at least twice a day. Be careful not to use creams that are heavy in texture and products that are not oil-free, because there is a chance that you will get pimples from the oil, as the skin regenerates.
It is necessary to protect your skin from the sun after Oxygeneo. You should apply sunscreen to your face and neck, every time you are exposed to the sun and reapply every 2 hours.
Until your skin is fully healed, you should not use any products that contain Retinol, AHA, BHA and peeling products. Don't over exfoliate your skin by using extra exfoliants (like scrubs or exfoliating brushes) for the next 3-4 days after your facial. Excessive exfoliation can lead to irritation or sensitivity, so it's best to wait until your skin has fully recovered, before starting again with these products.
It is also very important to use fresh and clean sheets, pillowcases and towels after the treatment, as the already used ones may cause skin contamination.
Avoid vigorous physical activity and sauna for 2-4 days after Oxygeneo. Increased blood circulation to the face and sweating of the face can cause burning sensation, itching and redness in skin that has recently undergone facial cleansing.
