Baby Botox is a milder application of the popular Botox treatment. In essence, Baby Botox uses a smaller amount than is typically used in classic Botox applications. Botox is a type A Neurotoxin, a pure protein produced by the microorganism Clostridium Botulinum.
As this substance enters the muscles, it prevents their strong contraction, thus ensuring the prevention of wrinkles. The purpose of Baby Botox is to provide a more natural effect, without the excessive reduction in muscle movement that can occur in some cases with regular Botox.
Baby Botox is applied to the facial muscles that create deep wrinkles. These wrinkles are created by ordinary expressions, such as laughing, surprise, frowning and anger. The Baby Botox is injected by small intramuscular injections at the appropriate points, mitigating the nerve stimulus which causes muscle motility. That way the muscle relaxes, as long as the effect of the medication lasts and this prevents the appearance of wrinkles in the overlying skin.
This is why Baby Botox is the perfect wrinkle prevention treatment, because as you know, prevention is the best treatment. But it also has the ability to treat the first fine wrinkles, when they have first appeared and are not yet many and deep. The effect of the treatment lasts 3 - 5 months and it is recommended to be repeated 2-3 times per year, for an excellent and stable result.
The cost of Baby Botox treatment depends on the area, the number and depth of the wrinkles and the units of the product, which are necessary for each person.
The final cost of your personalised treatment will be known to you, at the end of your consultation, with our qualified Doctors, but in order to have an estimation of the starting cost for 3 zones therapy this is 150 euros.
Before the treatment, there is always a medical consultation with the Doctors. At this appointment, the Doctors will assess the condition of your skin, the extent of your wrinkles and you will discuss with you, your concerns and your goal. Based on these, the appropriate treatment plan will be created, in order to achieve your desired results.
In this step, the anaesthetic cream is removed and the Doctor asks you to make some expressions, in order to observe the movements of your muscles. The Doctor will mark on your face the points where the Baby Botox injections will be done and immediately after that the application will begin.
Avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. Mesulid, Brufen, Voltaren) and analgesics (e.g. aspirin) for at least one week before the treatment, as they increase the possibility of bleeding and therefore bruising, during the treatment.
Also avoid taking vitamins and multivitamin preparations, for at least one week before the treatment, as these are substances that increase the bleeding tendency and consequently the risk of bruising.
It would be best not to consume alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
Before your treatment, the area of your face should be clean and without make-up.
You can return to your activities immediately, as long as you do not touch the area, where the medicine was injected, for at least the first 4 hours.
Avoid lying down for the first 4 hours after treatment. This will prevent the medicine from moving into the eye area and causing complications, such as drooping of the eyebrow.
It is best to avoid vigorous aerobic exercise for 1 day.
Try to avoid hot showers and excessive sun exposure for the next 2 days.
Avoid alcohol and aspirin for 1 day after your treatment.
On the first day of your treatment it is best to avoid a hair dryer, on the areas of the face where you had Botox.
If you experience bruising at the injection sites, you can treat them with a topical arnica cream.

They are often caused by a combination of factors, such as the loss of collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin and repeated facial expressions. Baby Botox is commonly used to treat these lines, by relaxing the muscles around the eyes, which then reduces the appearance of crow's feet. Other eye wrinkle prevention treatments besides Baby Botox, include fillers, fractional laser treatments and chemical peels.

Truth: Baby Botox does reduce the intense contraction of the muscles on the face. The units and dosage are such that it does not have the ability to freeze and distort the face. With the correct use of Baby Botox, not only are there no distortions, but it looks more rested and youthful.
Truth: It is true that Baby Botox is used by women and men between the ages of 25 and 35 as a preventative anti-ageing measure and in this age range has the best results. But it does not necessarily mean that it is contraindicated to be applied to older people, as long as they understand that they will have a much milder effect.
There are people who normally, due to age and expressions, are for regular Botox, but they choose to do Baby Botox, due to their desire to maintain expressiveness. So Baby Botox in ages older than 35, who have already formed expression wrinkles, will not completely eliminate them, but will soften them.
Truth: The "frozen" expression is the result of an overdose of Botox units. An experienced Doctor knows how many units to inject at each point, so that the facial expressions in Baby Botox look natural and not "frozen". After all, the target of Baby Botox treatment is to improve the person's appearance, while maintaining their naturalness.
So when applied by an experienced and qualified Doctor, the natural beauty of the person is enhanced, while they will still be able to smile, frown and express themselves naturally. In other words, you will not lose your expressiveness, but only your wrinkles.
Truth: No, by no means. What is happening is exactly the opposite. The neurotoxin prevents further and deeper wrinkle formation, because during the treatment period, the muscles have reduced activity and this prevents them from contracting. Essentially Baby Botox stops the time, at the point when you had the treatment and if you decide not to continue the application of Botox the skin will go back to where it was, when you had your last Baby Botox and not in a worse condition.
Truth: In fact, the opposite is true. The regular application of the treatment results in the skin remaining smooth for a longer period of time. Regular treatment with Baby Botox does not allow wrinkles to reappear and keeps the skin young, while the effectiveness of the treatment does not decrease at all! In fact, frequent repetition, which is done at the right time and not too soon, improves even more the appearance of the face.
It is recommended to repeat the treatment 2-3 times a year, when the body has fully metabolised the substance and mobility returns to the area, so that we can maintain a nice and natural result.
The effect of Baby Botox starts on the third day and is completed in 15 days, when you will have the final result of your treatment.
Baby Botox can be administered even to people as young as 25, depending on how expressive they are. Some people develop deep expression lines from a young age, due to intense facial muscle contractions. Usually the treatment of Baby Botox is applied with very good results at the ages of 25 - 35 years.
Neither Botox, nor Baby Botox are permitted during the pregnancy and breastfeeding period.
Active Skin Infections: If you have any infections or irritations in the area where Baby Botox is to be applied, the treatment should be postponed until they resolve.
Neurological problems: You should avoid Baby Botox, if you have neuromuscular disorders such as Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome or have had recent seizures.
Allergy to Botox: If you have a known allergy to Botox or any of its ingredients, you should not use the product.
Bleeding disorders: People with bleeding disorders, or those taking blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants), have a relative contraindication to Baby Botox, as it increases the risk of bleeding and bruising at the injection sites.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Baby Botox is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
