Pimples, blackheads, cysts, acne scars... The "faces" of acne are many and different for each patient. However what they have in common is the fact that all can be treated with modern acne treatments that treat the symptoms and prevent or "fade" acne scars, even old ones. The most important thing is that all our acne treatments have excellent effects, giving "clear" skin, with an even colour and without marks and scars.
Spectacular Laser Skin Resurfacing, which stimulates the skin's natural healing and regeneration mechanisms, with significant improvement in the appearance and depth of acne scars.
The Nd-YAG Acne Laser almost without any irritation, acts on the enlarged sebaceous glands limiting inflammation, reducing sebum secretion and reducing bacterial colonisation, with its bactericidal effect.
The original Dermapen 4 that you will find in Derm & Plastic Surgery Clinics is the only microneedling device for targeted action in the elimination of acne scars and with specialised protocols for acne treatment.
The treatment that offers skin regeneration, antimicrobial action with a reduction in acne inflammation and a parallel increase in collagen to treat acne scars.
Dermalux utilises the beneficial spectrum of light to destroy acne propionibacterium, regulate oiliness and heal acne scars.
“Plasma Pen - Plexer” treatment using plasma (the fourth state of matter), causes skin sublimation and local destruction of acne scars, visible in just a few days.
Treatment with anti-acne mesococtails for cell renewal in the deeper layers of the skin, oil regulation and anti-inflammatory action with valuable active ingredients.
Intensive rejuvenation of the skin and filling of scars from the inside, with the favourite treatment of celebrities, which uses the growth factors of your blood.
Ideal treatment for those looking for a quick result with zero recovery time, which will raise their self-esteem to new heights.
Diamond dermabrasion is a modern technology that uses diamond heads to gently rub and exfoliate the skin. Dermabrasion treatments minimise pores, acne scars, eliminate whiteheads and blackheads and rejuvenate acne-prone skin.
Ideal treatment for skin suffering from blocked pores, pimples and oiliness, as Oxygeneo is a super advanced facial cleansing with the power of oxygen, causing a gentle exfoliation on the skin and removing dead cells.
The “Make It Clear” medical cleansing protocol is a facial cleansing for acne-prone skin that we recommend if you have acne. The "Make It Clear" Facial is part of the innovative "Make It Clear" medical protocol, for which we were awarded the Gold Award at the Medical Beauty Awards, as the most effective protocol for acne.
Few treatments are as popular as the Hydrafacial, so people ask for it as their first choice on our Beauty Menu. And this is reasonable as this method combines three medical treatments in one: deep exfoliation, complete hydration and antioxidant protection. The sebaceous pores, without being pressed with the hands, as in classic facials, are deeply cleansed with the help of hydrogenated water and then 3 different aqua peelings are applied to the clean skin.
These are medical masks, which contain special ingredients, such as activated carbon, tea tree oil, kojic acid and vitamin C, which with their frequent application regulate oiliness, reduce acne and heal scars.
Fractional Laser is a very effective treatment for acne scars and for overall skin improvement. It achieves this effect through thermal energy acting on the skin, both in the superficial layers by exfoliating them and in the deeper layers by activating the production of collagen and elastin and improving and filling acne scars from inside.
The skin peels off for a few days and very soon new, healthy skin comes to the surface. As the outer and damaged skin layer is removed, acne scars are also significantly improved. In addition, due to Laser exfoliation, dilated pores are contracted and skin tightening is achieved at the same time.
Fractional Laser is a very effective treatment both for facial acne and for body acne and in our Clinics you will also find medical protocols that treat Acne on Buttocks and Acne on Chest and Back with the Fractional Body Laser.
The Nd-YAG Acne Laser is a highly effective acne treatment that works with two goals. Firstly, it fights inflammation and literally disappears pus-filled, red pimples within 1-2 days of its application. Secondly it also fights acne scars, with the increase in collagen production it causes.
The wavelength of this Laser at 1064 nm is able to reach the depth where the sebaceous glands are located and act effectively by reducing their size and thus regulating in that way the oversecretion of sebum and the oiliness of the acne skin.
With its thermal penetration to this depth, it also activates fibroblasts to increase collagen production, thus contributing to the remodelling of scars. Its major advantage compared to Fractional Laser is that the Acne Laser does not have a long recovery time (that means the skin does not have the intense redness it has after the Fractional). Instead the patient has a slight redness that gradually subsides within the next few hours (6-24 hours).
The Nd-YAG Acne Laser is a very effective treatment for both facial acne and body acne and in our Clinics you will find medical protocols that treat Acne on Buttocks and Acne on the Chest and Back with the Body Laser Nd-YAG.
Dermapen is the original microneedling system, and especially the 4th generation of this innovative device. Dermapen 4, is particularly effective for acne-prone skin, as it is the only one whose needles penetrate to a depth of 3 millimetres, resulting in spectacular results, even in the deepest acne scars. Its action is based on the skin's natural healing mechanisms, as it carries out controlled micro-injuries in the upper layers of the skin, thus stimulating the production of collagen and elastin and contributing to the filling of scars. After the treatment the skin peels off for a few days and very soon new, healthy skin comes to the surface.
Dermapen 4 comes with special protocols for acne and a specially designed series of acne mesotherapy products that are applied at the time of the treatment with Dermapen and maximise its results. Dermapen is a treatment for both facial acne and body acne (Acne on Buttocks and Acne on the Chest and Back) with the Body Dermapen Protocols.
Acne Peel refers to the use of special chemicals specially designed to target acne-prone skin to improve both its appearance and health. Acne Peel contains two main ingredients, which are salicylic acid and azelaic acid. Salicylic removes dead cells and unclogs pores, while azelaic fights the acne propionibacterium, due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action. Thus, the main factors that cause acne are treated and these are acne inflammation, clogged pores and propionibacterium.
Acne Peel has zero recovery time and its results are visible from the very first treatment. It is designed to gently exfoliate the skin, unclog pores and reduce pimples and blackheads. Acne Peel is performed by Dermatologists and is usually part of an acne protocol, which may also include topical creams, lifestyle changes and special skin care products.
Dermalux Photodynamic PDT Acne Treatment is an award-winning drug-free acne treatment. The combined use of blue and infrared light appears to provide positive results in treating acne and acne scars.
Blue light has a natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect and unlike antibiotics that are on the market, in creams or tablets form, it does not allow germs to develop resistance. It is ideal for the treatment of acne, since it does not only kill the acne propionibacterium, but also suppresses sebum secretion, thus regulating oiliness. It also soothes redness and inflammation of the skin and balances pH levels, helping with rosacea as well.
Infrared light contributes to skin regeneration, soothing and reducing irritation and that’s why it is ideal for sensitive skin. Additionally, it has the ability to break down melanin build-up and disintegrate pigmentation spots, making it an ideal choice for people with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne.
One of the major advantages of phototherapy is that it is a natural treatment without the use of drugs which is suitable for people who prefer this approach or who cannot take medication for some reasons (eg pregnancy acne).
The Plasma Pen - Plexer works by ionizing the air particles, between the device’s headpiece and the epidermis, to form the plasma energy (fourth state of matter), which in turn causes the skin to sublimate.
Therefore, its effects are instantaneous, with immediate contraction of the tissue, which activates the processes of skin injury and "awakens" the fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, thus contributing to the disappearance of scars and tightening of the skin, in points where the device was applied.
Facial mesotherapy is a treatment in which therapeutic substances such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids, peptides and antioxidant ingredients are introduced under the skin, into the middle layer of the skin called the dermis.
The great advantage of mesotherapy is that it manages to provide its valuable components, exactly where they are needed. Thus, their action is so focused and they act locally, yielding their maximum benefit there, without spreading to the rest of the body.
The 5 main ingredients used in the enhanced acne mesotherapy are: Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Coenzyme Q10 and Niacinamide which regulate oiliness and reduce sebum production.
Autologous mesotherapy is a treatment based on the use of your own blood and growth factors for cellular renewal of the skin. It is commonly referred to as "Vampire Facial" or "Vampire Facelift" and is considered completely safe as it uses the patient's own blood, reducing the risk of allergic reactions.
The growth factors are the ones that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin at the injection sites, thus managing to fill acne scars from inside and restore the firmness of the face.
Mesotherapy with Hyaluronic Skin Boosters is applied by injections to "fill" the acne scars in various parts of the face and neck. This treatment, in addition to immediately filling the scars, increases the skin's collagen and restores the lost firmness of the face and neck.
The result it offers is unique, as it combines exceptionally the duration of the effect of a filler (8-12 months), with the ease of use and the excellent hydration of a hyaluronic mesotherapy. For those of you who haven't already tried it, it should definitely be your next Must-Have!
Diamond Dermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a diamond tipped headpiece to exfoliate the surface layers of the skin. It is a non-invasive and painless skin resurfacing treatment that is an alternative to chemical peels and Fractional Laser treatments.
Diamond Dermabrasion is commonly used to improve the appearance of acne scars, by removing scar tissue and promoting new skin cell growth. Diamond Dermabrasion can also help minimise the appearance of enlarged pores by removing debris and dead skin cells that clog them.
Oxygeneo Balance OxyPod is the capsule to choose when your goal is to fight acne and regulate facial oiliness, as it has as its main ingredient activated carbon from Bamboo Charcoal, for detoxification and oil reduction and mandelic acid for the treatment of acne skin.
Activated carbon absorbs sebum and impurities, thus deeply cleansing the skin and its pores. While mandelic acid, which is one of the main ingredients of acne peels, causes gentle exfoliation on the skin, removing dead cells and regulating post-inflammatory acne hyperpigmentation.
Make It Clear Facial is part of the innovative medical protocol “Make It Clear”, for which we were awarded the Gold Award, as the most effective acne protocol, at the Medical Beauty Awards.
It effectively and permanently treats acne and is one of the best treatments you can offer your skin. Deep facial cleansing aims to remove sebum and dead cells, but also to unclog blocked pores and remove cysts.
The Hydrafacial uses Hydrogen Water to deeply cleanse pores and remove sebum. Essentially, the sebaceous pores, without being pressed with the hands, as in classic facials, are deeply cleansed with the help of hydrogenated water.
This particular technique, through the negative pressure exerted by the headpiece, helps stubborn and quite deep sebum to be sucked up first and then removed from the pores, without causing any discomfort, as in the traditional manual sebum extraction cleansing, which is done manually.
Then, salicylic, glycolic and lactic acid are applied successively in the form of liquefied mild aqua peelings. These peelings are applied to the skin with a special hydrodermabrasion headpiece, without causing any irritation, while at the same time they transfer their active ingredients deep into the skin, smoothing the overall appearance of the face.
Hydrogel masks are effective and at the same time enjoyable treatments for acne prone skin. They combine herbal ingredients with healing properties for acne-prone skin that shows redness, pimples, blackheads and cysts.
One of the most suitable masks for skins with mild and moderate acne contains aminolevulinic acid and in combination with Dermalux Phototherapy, it effectively neutralises Acne Propionibacterium (P acnes).
The innovative Make It Clear protocol offers what its name suggests, a clear face free of pimples and acne scars, giving a solution to those who want a drug-free acne treatment.
The search for innovative treatments and innovative ways to treat skin problems is one of the fundamental motivations for the development and continuous improvement of Derm & Plastic Surgery Clinics. In this direction, in 2019, the Scientific Director of our Clinics, Dr Angie Zografou, created a new drug-free acne treatment, ideal for acne-prone skin, with the aim of treating acne holistically.
For the medical protocol Make It Clear, we were awarded nationwide at the Medical Beauty Awards with the award in the Best Acne Treatment category, for its innovation and effectiveness.
The innovation of this Treatment Protocol lies in precisely this multifaceted approach and the possibility of applying 14 different sub-treatments (Regenerative Treatments such as Dermapen and Fractional, Non-Invasive Treatments such as Dermalux and Acne Peeling and Prescription Treatments with Medicated Creams) , which can be applied either individually or in combination with each other. The exact protocol that we will follow in each person is completely specialized and we choose with them, based on many factors, the appropriate combination of treatments among these 14 sub-treatments.
These factors, among others, are of course the type of acne he has, the patient's lifestyle and professional obligations, as well as the recovery time he wishes to have.
A major role in the outcome of acne treatment and in the final aesthetic result, without scars, plays the right choice of Doctor, who should be a qualified Dermatologist with excellent knowledge of anatomy and many years of experience.
Choose correctly and not "cheaply" if you want to get rid of acne and don’t be convinced by very low prices (eg 50-60 euros) and trust your health in the hands of non-specialists in beauty centers, as then you will have to pay twice and triple to qualified Doctors to correct their mistakes.
Also, many people mistakenly turn to pharmacists for a long time, believing that only facial creams and cleansers will improve their acne. But all they do is delay and cause acne to worsen and scars to develop.
When they are now desperate to see no result, they turn to a Dermatologist, but in the meantime they have paid a lot of money on creams and cosmetics without much effect, when they could have spent it on effective medical treatments in the first place. At the Derm & Plastic Surgery Clinics you will find Dermatologists specialized in the treatment of acne and authentic medical equipment at very affordable prices for everyone, as the cost of acne treatment starts from 100 euros.
Acne is a very common dermatological problem involving inflammation of the sebaceous glands of the face, but also of the body. Dead cells and sebum build up on the skin, causing the pores to become blocked.
It is true that acne usually manifests itself in adolescence, due to changes in hormone levels, but it can remain active for many years or appear later in adult life, as Adult Acne. Acne usually occurs on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and buttocks as these areas have a higher percentage of sebaceous glands.
In the aetiology of acne, the following four main factors are involved
Overactivity of Sebaceous Glands: with subsequent increased production of sebum (either due to heredity or due to overproduction of androgens, as in polycystic ovaries).
Obstruction of the Excretory Ducts of the Sebaceous Glands: Through these ducts, the sebum is channelled from the sebaceous glands to the surface of the skin. Disturbances in the rate of apoptosis of dead cells from the epidermis, lead to the blockage of these ducts, resulting in the obstruction of the smooth flow of sebum. Clogged pores appear on the surface of the skin, either as blackheads (open pores) or as whiteheads (closed pores).
Bacterial Overgrowth: Propionibacterium acnes (P. Acnes), due to the oil-rich environment created by the overproduction of sebum, begins to grow and colonise blocked pores, leading to local inflammation.
Local Inflammation: Overactive sebaceous glands swell and lead to inflammation (red pimples or papules). Propionibacterium acnes (P. Acnes) that has colonised the pores, infects these red pimples and creates purulent lesions (pustules or white purulent pimples). Cysts appear when the intensity of the inflammatory reaction is even heavier.
Most of us think that acne is a problem that affects only teenagers. However 50% of women aged 21-30 have acne and 25% of women between 30 and 40.
This type of adult acne has a hormonal background and is usually due to polycystic ovaries, especially when it appears in certain areas of the face that are particularly sensitive to hormones such as the chin, around the mouth, around the jaw and at the corners of the neck. On the contrary teenagers get pimples usually on the forehead, nose but also on the cheeks, i.e. in the so-called T area.
It has been proven that the genetic background plays an important role in the appearance of acne.
If your mother or father had acne, there is a 70-75% chance that you will get acne too. If only one parent had acne, this can reduce the chance of developing it in half.
Prolonged use of systemic corticosteroids can cause an acneiform rash on the upper trunk. Drugs such as lithium, isoniazid, high doses of vitamin B12 and some anticancer agents also cause acne. Consumption of anabolic steroids by athletes, such as testosterone and its derivatives, causes mild to severe acne.
Acne can be created by oiliness in people who use inappropriate cosmetics and make-up products. You should prefer cosmetics that are oil-free and suitable for acne-prone skin. These are usually labelled as "oil-free" or as “non-comedogenic” .
Stress has been linked to the secretion of neuropeptides, which trigger excessive sebum production. This leads to oiliness, which in turn encourages acne breakouts. The body also reacts to stress by producing a steroid hormone called cortisol, which can cause inflammation and dilation of skin pores, leading to redness and acne breakouts.
To avoid foods with a high glycemic index, you should eliminate high-fat dairy products, fast food, carbonated soft drinks, standardised fruit juices, sweets, chocolates, cookies, cakes, rice and white bread.
Acne can manifest itself in a number of ways and its symptoms can range from mild to severe. The types of lesions that appear on the skin also determine the type of acne.
The more intense the inflammation, the greater the possibility of scarring when the active acne lesions subside, i.e. leaving permanent marks on the skin.
Regarding the types of acne and the time period of appearance of acne these are:
Adolescent acne is the common acne of teenagers. It appears in puberty (ages 12 - 18 years) when hormones are activated (androgen production) and stimulate the sebaceous glands in the skin. The vast majority of cases of teenage acne involve mixed forms of papular and papulopustular acne, with blackheads and red and/or white pimples.
Adult Acne appears later at the ages of 20 - 40 and is directly linked to the use of contraceptives, menstrual cycles and pregnancy, in terms of its hormonal substrate, but also to lifestyle. In particular, an environment or lifestyle that creates acute or chronic stress can also disrupt hormones, by increasing the well-known stress hormone, cortisol, and thus favor this type of acne. Also, an unbalanced diet, since it constantly causes an increase in insulin, will have an impact on the excess of male hormones and therefore on the appearance of adult acne.
These are non-inflammatory acne lesions that can be open pores (blackheads) or closed pores (whiteheads). Blackheads appear when the sebaceous gland is partially blocked, allowing oil and skin cells to oxidise and turn black.
Whiteheads appear when the sebaceous gland is completely blocked, trapping oil and skin cells below the skin's surface.
These are small, red, raised bumps on the skin that are usually tender to touch. They result from inflammation and infection within the sebaceous glands.
Pustules are similar to papules but contain pus at their edges. They appear as small, pus-filled white or yellow bumps.
Nodules are larger, painful, firm lumps under the surface of the skin. They form deep within the sebaceous gland and can be quite painful.
They are large, painful, pus- and sebum-filled solid lumps that can cause scarring if not treated early. Cysts require immediate medical treatments.
When acne is severe and not treated properly, it can leave behind scars. These acne scars can be atrophic scars or hypertrophic scars.
After an acne lesion heals, it can leave behind brown or reddish marks on the skin. This is known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Early treatment of acne is important for several reasons, as it helps prevent worsening and minimise potential complications. Here are 4 main reasons to treat acne right away:
Scar prevention: One of the main reasons for treating acne early is to minimise the risk of scarring. Acne lesions, especially deeper ones like cysts and nodules, can damage the skin's collagen and elastin fibres, leading to permanent scarring. When acne is treated early and effectively, there is less chance of severe inflammation and tissue damage, reducing the chances of scarring.
Avoid possible complications: In some cases, untreated acne can lead to complications such as secondary infections or the formation of painful and persistent nodules and cysts. These complications may be more difficult to manage and may require more aggressive interventions. Early treatment can help prevent these complications in the first place.
Prevent acne from getting worse: Don't expect acne to get better on its own without medical treatments. If you let acne to develop then a mild acne will become more severe over time. By treating acne early, you may be able to avoid the need for more aggressive treatments and shorten the duration of treatment.
Reduce the emotional and psychological impact: Acne can have a significant impact on a person's self-esteem and mental well-being. It can lead to feelings of low self-esteem, embarrassment and even depression or anxiety. Treating acne early can help improve the appearance of the skin, thereby promoting better mental health and overall self-confidence.
Diet: While there is no one-size-fits-all diet for acne, some people find that certain dietary factors can affect breakouts. Consider reducing your intake of high-glycemic foods, dairy and refined sugars. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains can benefit your skin health.
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and support overall skin health.
Managing stress: High levels of stress can cause hormonal changes that can worsen acne. Engage in stress reduction techniques such as regular exercise and yoga.
Don't pop pimples: Avoid touching your face, as your hands can transfer dirt and bacteria to the skin. Avoid popping or squeezing acne lesions, as this can worsen inflammation and lead to scarring.
Remove make-up well: No matter how tired you are, don't sleep with make-up on your face. This will help your skin to breathe and prevent the pores from clogging.
Avoid over-washing: Over-cleansing can strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to increased oil production to compensate. Wash your face only twice a day.
Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild, non-greasy acne-specific facial cleanser that contains salicylic acid and wash your face only twice a day and no more than that, as this can cause reactive sebum production from the dryness that you caused.
Hydration: Use a light, acne-friendly cream to keep your skin hydrated without clogging your pores.
Sunscreen: Use a special sunscreen designed for acne-prone skin, even during the winter months. Most topical acne creams are designed to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells to keep pores unclogged. Therefore, daily sun protection with an oil-free sunblock is necessary.
Use non-oily make up products:Choose skin care and make-up products labelled "for oily skin" or "oil free" to minimise the risk of clogging pores.
Wash your makeup brushes and sponges regularly: The dust and bacteria that collect on these items can make the problem worse or cause additional skin irritations.

Truth: While good hygiene is important for overall skin health, acne is not caused by dirty skin. Acne is mainly influenced by factors such as heredity, hormones and oil production. Excessive cleansing of the skin (more than twice a day - morning and night) can even worsen acne, as excessive dryness of the skin reactively leads to even more sebum production.
Truth: Sun exposure can initially make acne look better, as the sun actually has a mild anti-inflammatory effect, thus suppressing skin inflammation to some extent. Also, the tanning we get with our exposure to the sun, not only flatters us, but also acts as a camouflage for our "imperfections".
However this favourable effect of the sun is short-term, as the sun creates the ideal conditions for acne to return more severely at the end of summer. The worsening of acne after exposure to the sun occurs, because the skin has become thicker and "hyperkeratinized" on its surface and that clogged the pores.
Truth: By no means this is true and all you do is to scar your skin. As much as you may be tempted to pop a pimple, you should resist and apply two simple tricks to make it disappear within 24 hours. There are now special tiny patches on the market, impregnated with suitable substances that dry the pimples. Apply such a patch and leave it on overnight. That way you won't pop the pimple and it will dry up and won't be visible until the morning.
In case you don't have such special patches, then put pure alcohol topically on some cotton and then place it for 10-15 minutes on the pimple as a pad. Two or three applications a day is enough to see it improve and subside until the next day. Of course these are temporary measures and your skin is talking to you and telling you that it is time to make an appointment with a Dermatologist to start acne treatments.
Truth: While acne vulgaris is most common in adolescence, it can affect people into adulthood with 25% of people having Adult Acne.
Truth: Acne is not a contagious condition. It cannot be spread through physical contact, such as by touching someone's face or sharing personal items.
Truth: While some cases of very mild acne may resolve gradually on their own, the majority of people need to seek medical treatment early for effective acne treatment. Without proper treatment, acne always worsens and leads to scarring. So don't waste time and money unnecessarily on creams that don't work, because when scars and marks will appear it will be too late.
Acne scars are the result of severe acne, which was not treated promptly or properly with proper treatment and the symptoms developed into scars. Acne scars are the consequence of inflammatory lesions located deep in the skin such as in cystic acne. If the acne lesions are at the level of the epidermis, they do not create scars, but if the lesions extend into the dermis, then they cause a rupture of the dermis and leave scars. Depending on the extent and size of the inflammation, different types of acne scars are created.
The answer is no. No at Derm & Plastic Surgery Clinics and No with the “Make It Clear” medical protocol. Acne recurrence is one of the reasons many people come to us after they have heard from a friend about our Make It Clear protocol. These people have had acne treatment elsewhere and their acne has reappeared after some time. It seems unbelievable, but it is true! None of the cases we treated with our protocol experienced acne recurrence.
Regular Facials not only help with acne, but also treat and prevent its progression, making dermatological facial cleansing a key acne treatment. Deep facial cleansing is a procedure that not only removes dead cells from the upper layers of the skin, but also contributes to its healthy condition.
Also, medical facial cleansing is the starting point for any other facial therapeutic protocol that needs to be applied correctly, whether it has to do with acne treatment or other targeted treatments. At least 3 to 4 times a year, people with acne prone skin should have facials to keep their skin clean and healthy!
No, Rosacea is not the same as acne. Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin of the face. It usually appears as an intense erythema (redness) mainly on the cheeks and nose which may be accompanied by a burning sensation. A key difference between rosacea and acne lies in the fact that the former mainly appears after the age of 30 in contrast to acne that makes its appearance mainly in teenagers.
In addition, in Rosacea there is no oiliness and blackheads, but red capillaries and telangiectasias. The mite Demodex Folliculorum, which normally exists on human skin, has been blamed for rosacea, which is a parasite "feeding” on the sebaceous follicles of the face. On the contrary, in common acne, the responsible microorganism is the Propionibacterium Acnes (P. Acnes).
