Facial Lipolysis

This is a treatment that is among the relatively painless treatments. You only feel a small sting, when the needle goes in and a burning sensation when the medicine is injected into the treatment points. Nevertheless, in order to avoid any discomfort, you can use anaesthetic cream on a clean face, on the injection points 20 - 30 minutes before your treatment. Also, during the treatment. it is suggested to use ice cold packs, on the application sites for the relief of the discomfort.

In addition, deoxycholic acid, the substance contained in injectable lipolysis, is a substance approved by EOF and is already found in the human body, as a substance that breaks down fat after meals. Based on deoxycholic acid, injectable lipolysis works in a similar way, effectively treating accumulated fat, dissolving fat cells and gradually eliminating fat from the double chin.

In the following 3 - 5 days after the treatment and always depending on the individual, there will be swelling in the area where the lipolysis was performed. That is something completely normal, as fat cells are in an inflammatory reaction, during their lipolysis. To reduce swelling you can put ice on the areas for about 10 minutes at a time, several times a day, for the first week. On these days you can put on makeup normally, wash your face, exercise gently and return to your daily life, as long as the swelling is not a significant obstacle for you. You can, of course, cover your face and double chin, with daily use of a facial mask, for as long as necessary, until the swelling subsides.

The number of sessions depends on the needs of each person, the accumulated fat they have, the treatment protocol they will follow and the desired degree of correction. An indicative average is 3 - 4 sessions, spaced 1 month apart.

The final result of lipolysis is cumulative, which means that it becomes apparent after the completion of 3 - 4 sessions, with intervals of 30 days between them. For an even more impressive result, it is recommended to combine injectable lipolysis with the Lipo 3Max Plus.

Facial lipolysis is usually performed on people aged 18 and over, who are looking to improve their facial appearance, particularly in the cheeks and neck (double chin) areas. The following are considered suitable candidates for facial lipolysis:

• People with fat deposits in specific areas of their face, such as the cheeks, jowls and neck.

Facial lipolysis is one of the treatments whose results appear gradually and are therefore completely natural and uniform. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not undergo facial lipolysis.

Blood Disorders: People with blood clotting disorders, history of deep vein thrombosis and haemophilia, should not undergo facial lipolysis.

Infection: People with an active skin infection should not undergo lipolysis until the infection has resolved.

Allergies to the injection substances: People who know they are allergic to the lipolytic injection substances should not undergo lipolysis.

Autoimmune diseases: People with autoimmune diseases, such as lupus erythematosus or rheumatoid arthritis, should avoid such treatments.

Swelling: Swelling after a facial lipolysis treatment is reasonable and expected for all. It can last for several days to a week after the procedure.

Bruising: Injectable procedures always carry a risk of bruising and lipolysis is not an exception.

Numbness: Some people may experience temporary numbness or “tingling” in the areas where the lipolytic injections were made, which can last from several days to a few weeks.

Uneven results: While lipolysis can be effective in reducing the appearance of a double chin or contouring the jawline and cheeks, there is a risk of uneven results. This can happen if the body's response to treatment is uneven. This side effect can be corrected by injecting extra lipolytic medication where it is needed.

Infection: There is always a small risk of infection in any cosmetic procedure that involves injections. It is important to choose a qualified and experienced Doctor and follow all aftercare instructions to minimise the risk of infection.
